FACTS
Born July 16, 1968

Born in Melbourne, Australia; moved to New York at age fourteen; mother was originally from Hawaii (hence the roots of his name); his father was a New York native

His oldest son was born in December of 1997; the child was six weeks premature and had a slew of problems. Kale took time off of the theatre to be at home with his family.

Married at the age of twenty-four; divorced at thirty-three

Has two children: son Carson, aged 11 (with his ex-wife); daughter Jacalyn, aged 5 (from former relationship)

Nearsighted, but often opts for glasses over contacts

His son, Carson, was born partially deaf, and was completely deaf before his second birthday. After some research and discussion with doctors, Kale and his wife opted for Cochlear implants to help their son regain his hearing when he was five. The surgeries have been successful, and Carson shows almost no signs of his previous condition. He still falls into using ASL at times, and acts as an interpreter at his school (having continued his studies of the language)

Kale can also sign, almost fluently

Kale has predominant custody of Carson, and shared custody of Jacalyn
